When setting a filter by Filtered Lookup field and putting ID of an item it doesn't show anything. Is there any other way to filter List View by Filtered Lookup field?

How do you pass the currentItem(SPListItem) object to the GetAvailableValues method from the FilteredLookupFieldControl & MultipleFilteredLookupFieldControl classes? Pls advice.

When I add the Filtered Lookup Field I've created to the columns to display in a gantt view for the list, the column is not visible.

This also causes an issue if I try to use the field to group rows in the view.

The column does display in a standard view and I am also able to group by the filtered lookup field in a standard view.

Has anyone else come across this?

Is there a way to have this WSP just deployed to a Web Application instead of the all the Web Apps? I know the older version this was possible.

When using a DataFormWebPart in SharePoint Designer, the fields of type FilteredLookupField are not being displayed in View Form at all.

I believe there is missing XSLT for the custom web part in the layouts/XSL folder in 14 (Root) folder.

Can someone guide me how to create the missing XSLT for custom Lookup field, which we can use in XSLT Web part and Content Query Web Part

I tried to install this into my SP2010 environment. No error messages but I don't see it in my "Features"...Shows as "deployed to Gac" for Farm Solution...Any ideas??? Thanks...

I installed the WSP file, but I don't see it in Site Collection Features...Any clue what I might be missing? I used Powershell to install the wsp file. No errors.

The solution works well in SP Russian version.

But you need to use only english columns name.

Your solution is very helpfull for us!
But I have one problem that I can't solve by myself. The problem is that I can't create a filtered column because of access denial.
I have a colleague who uses your tool on the same SharePoint site. The only difference is that he has different rights.He has the same rights with the only difference: all SharePoint services works under his account (so he has "system account" in the upper-right corner of every page of the site instead of his account name)
He connects to SharePoint as SHAREPOINT\system. And for him creating of filtered column works well. I have full rigts, I am a site owner and memeber of the group of SharePoint farm administrators and a local admin. But all these things don't allow me to do the same. My problem occures when I am trying to select "Filtered Lookup (Information from all sites in site collection)" radio button in "Create column" form.

Do you know which privelegues does one need in order to create a filtered column? If yes do you know how to get them?

I have "hacked" this by modifying the Util.cs file so that the query is run through a regular expression to parse out known tokens. You can see the comments to see how to specify the tokens.

Peppe, this does not work.

I have tried with both SPQuery and SPSiteData query with the same results.

Query will work for regular lookup fields on the same item but not for the filtered lookup fields.

I am not sure of the underlying cause -- perhaps some property is needed to ensure that the field is searchable?

Created Issue: Site template containing field taken with data included throws error "Value does not fall in expected range" [15693]

when list/library contains values for this field column and site template is taken with data included where this list resides, The wsp site template is created succesfully but while creating new site from this site template, It throws a error "Value does not fall in expected range"

Has anyone tried to use this solution in a datasheet view? We implemented the WSS 3.0 version of this and it would not allow editing in datasheet view and show "read only" in the status bar. I need to know before we migrate our sites to 2010 if I have to find another solution.
